John Arthur began drawing and painting as a child in his father’s studio and has not stopped since. He began his career as a professional artist and illustrator more than thirty-five years ago, and his paintings have graced the covers of books, magazines and periodicals and have been seen by millions. His limited edition prints and portfolios have sold internationally and he has completed numerous children’s books. John’s prestigious list of clients includes: Disney, Warner Bros., Leanin’ Tree, and Carlton Greetings, among many others. Although John is primarily known for his romantic fantasy watercolors (Romantasy), he is a figurative artist whose talents are used in a variety of genres and mediums. His latest publications; The Art Of Faery by Paper Tiger Press and The World of Faery by Harper Collins features John alongside some of the world’s great fantasy artists. Pure Inspiration’s Fantasy Art Collection was released with John as one of the featured artists. John has taught art classes from his home/studio for decades and also instructs Master Art Seminars. Among his many passions, John enjoys sketching, playing Blues piano and fly fishing. The artist lives with his wife Terry (who makes jewelry) and works from their home/studio in the San Bernardino Mountains in Crestline, California.
